At the end of each shift, or in preparation for printing, make sure all ink fountain rollers are disengaged and properly cleaned. When making adjustments to the press, make sure that all parts are functioning and that there is no labor required to set up the press. The individual parts of the adjustment system are designed and manufactured to very tight tolerances and operate flexibly and smoothly. If an abnormality occurs, the printing unit must be carefully inspected to determine what caused the failure so that appropriate repairs can be carried out.
